A vast majority of the Khawaja Sira community faces extreme homelessness and physical vulnerability in Pakistan. At BeingOne Foundation, we launched safe housing initiatives to bridge the critical gaps. We have established secure and unconditional sanctuaries where individuals can find a true haven.
Our safe housing and sanctuary program is designed to provide our Khawaja Sira community with structured and supportive pathways towards healing, independence, and long-term socio-economic recovery:
BeingOne Foundation offers immediate, unconditional access to shelter for the Khawaja Sira individuals who are facing physical danger, domestic violence, or are rejected by their families.
Khawaja Sira individuals looking for a prolonged period of stability can get free access to our structured Panah Gah or sanctuaries. The deserving individuals are provided with clean bedding, nutritious meals, clean water, and basic hygiene necessities in a completely secure and organized environment.
We also welcome Khawaja Sira individuals who need rehabilitation and healing from addiction and diseases. They can get free access to free medical checkups, addiction recovery resources, and physical rehabilitation in a private and supportive atmosphere.
We also have dedicated spaces for the elderly and aging members of the Khawaja Sira community. Our old age and retirement home care spaces are designed to provide continuous care, respect, and peace of mind.
The secure housing and sanctuaries are designed to provide the Khawaja Sira community with the proper shelter and protection they need to live independent and safe lives. Here is how our housing initiative empowered the community:
Our sanctuaries are designed as physical shields to safeguard vulnerable individuals from the threat of violence and exploitation.
When individuals don’t have to worry about their residence, they can fully focus on other progressive tasks, including education, adult literacy classes, and skill-empowerment vocational training.
Building structured housing and sanctuaries (Panah Gahs) requires continuous resources, including rent, utilities, bedding, groceries, and security. With your donations, we can maintain these spaces and provide the Khawaja Sira community with a secure shelter where they can not only survive but truly flourish.
The BeingOne Housing Program is designed to provide the Khawaja Sira community with structured shelter. We aim to offer them peace of mind, which establishes a stable foundation for progress in education and vocational training programs.
Any member of the by-birth Khawaja Sira (intersex) community in Pakistan who is facing immediate physical danger, domestic violence, homelessness, or family rejection is welcome in our sanctuaries, completely free of charge and judgment.
You can support BeingOne housing initiatives through direct funding of the rental costs, utilities, food supplies, and healthcare facility. You can also donate physical items such as bedding, clothing, and groceries, or volunteer your professional skills to help maintain our shelters.
